For those of you that have been through The Clipper Race Training in the last few years, this face might well be familiar.

His name is Alex Laline, known by those in the know as 'L'Oreal'. 

If you've been lucky enough to have sailed with Alex over the years, you might be interested in following his latest challenge. 

But let's hear it from Alex, direct.

​We are finally in 2021, a year we’re all hoping things will get better and a year which we all want to start dreaming and living again. It hasn’t been easy for anyone for the last year and projects, jobs and life have been abruptly interrupted and changed for many.

I’ve been lucky enough to keep my Mini Transat project going, through sweat and tears, and we’re now in the final sprint to making sure I can be at the start line the next 26th of September.  I always knew this project was gonna be hard to pull off in normal circumstances and there was a moment when I thought I would need to delay it for another edition after Covid started, but here I am decided to give everything in my heart in order to be at the start line.

Attached you’ll find my crowdfunding page, which every single contribution helps massively towards me and Skeiron doing this journey. 2021 is a year we’re all hoping to start dreaming and living again and hopefully it will end for me having completed a childhood dream of finishing the Mini Transat 2021
