Ocean Sleepwear Sleeping Bag

Designed for deep ocean sailing and yacht racing be that the Southern Ocean, North Atlantic or the Western Approaches to the English Channel the Original Ocean Sleepwear sleeping bag has a waterproof breathable outer shell that protects 2 warm fibre-pile insulating layers. Fibre-pile is the best performing insulation to have wet at sea, it is virtually as warm wet as it is dry and dries quickly. The bag has strong central "burstable" zips for quick entry and exit.

Right size and shape for sailing: This waterproof marine sleeping bag has an extra generously cut “mummy“ shape with plenty of space at the feet, knees and shoulders to make it possible to find a comfortable sleeping position even in a big sea! While the Volvo Ocean Race bag is the biggest, this is the more practical design when space is limited and transport to and from boats is a factor.
Durable outer shell: Made from 4oz Exeat Fabric providing a tough waterproof and breathable barrier, treated with a breathable fluorocarbon coating and fully tape-sealed to prevent wicking through stitch holes and provided with a full length flap to prevent water ingress through the zip. The outer shell zips directly onto the insulation layers so the bags work as one unit, without movement or cold spots.
Full-length “burstable“ zips: YKK No10 coil zips for their strength and reliability, with non-lock zippers and layers designed to work together means rapid entry and exit, no tangled layers. The zips, protected by a storm flap on the outer shell, can be opened both top and bottom to let your feet breathe.
2 Thick Fibre Pile Insulation Layers: 10mm Dense Weave fibre pile luxuriously warm to the touch. Fibre pile stays warm when wet and is hydrophilic, it does not absorb water. It resists mildew and is washable at 40°C. Fibre-pile makes the perfect ocean going insulation material.
Removable Pillow Pocket: Comfortable poly-cotton pillowcase, can easily be removed, washed and dried, stopping the build up of salt from your wet hair. Spare clothes can be stuffed inside form the pillow itself.
Rolling strap: Making it easy to keep the bag rolled up when it“s not being slept in.
Hanging strap: At the foot is for securing the bag when it is aired on deck.
2 Storage sacs: One large red for the whole system, and one small to store the inner bag when not in use, of course both stuff sacks make useful storage when not in use!
